The North Remembers
The scene when Grey Wind’s head was sewn on to Robb’s corpse made me so angry/upset when I read it that I knew I had to paint it at some point. And I’m really, REALLY, darn proud of how this painting came out.

Over on my twitter I started drawing 5 minute monsters called the Wolf That Only You Can See. I’m going to try to do one a day for the entire month- so here’s the first week.
Some of them are kind, some of them are cruel, but rest assured you are the only one who can see them.
Gosh Sfé these are SO FREAKING COOL.
If a thing I like has an animal/creature mascot, chances are I’m gonna draw a heraldic version of said creature. :’D
Figment’s never looked fiercer!
I painted another pretty monster lady, hahahaha.
Selkies are awesome.

Today I finished setting up my space for this year’s Artomatic @ Frederick!!!
"Artomatic@Frederick creates community, builds audience and expands economic development by transforming available space into a playground for artistic expression. Unjuried events showcase creative work in visual art, performing art, music, dance and film.
Artomatic@Frederick events are socially organic and completely open-entry; there are no juries or curators. We work to provide open access to the arts for all participants and visitors.
Emerging and established artists present their work side by side and have the chance to work with and learn from one another. The diversity of artwork and performances attract the broadest range of people, providing a forum to build institutional connections. Artists, organizations and visitors come together and illustrate the energy, vitality and strength of the arts to impact the community.”
My space is located in Bldg. #117, in spot #24A! The show opens this Wednesday, September 4, and runs for 5 weeks until October 5!!! So if you live in Maryland/DC, and want to see some awesome art, stop by!!! The show is FREE!!!!!!!
Hope to see you there!
Blathers is one of my favourite villagers.
I really like heraldic animals. I really love Pokémon.
So I decided to paint heraldic Pokémon! First up is Pidgeot. The blue background was painted with pearlescent paint; it sparkles!
I’m hoping to do more heraldic Pokémon soon, both legendaries/legendary birds, and other kinds of Pokémon (like dogs and cats and fish, etc.)!!
(PS: You can also purchase this painting! It’s available in my Etsy shop.)
Here’s a detail of my Space Show piece just for the heck of it
I really love Ryan Pequin’s illustrations.
I AM PAINTING AGAIN! YAYYYY
I’m trying to spend my summer working on some not-hockey projects, including some illustrations of kick-ass female athletes.
The US Women’s Soccer team is awesome, as are their uniforms. This painting of Abby Wambach was inspired by the “fadeaway” style of the illustrator C. Coles Phillips. So Many stripes! Hahaha

Finished sketch for a new promo image/side-banner for the Shinny! tumblr.
(ps: if you’re a hockey fan and not reading/following Peter & mine’s comic… you should check it out. It’s a lot fo fun to make.)
Today I finished my last illustration for college ever.
My professor gave everyone a week and half’s extension on our final portfolios, so he wanted me to do one more illustration with a team I had yet to cover.
I chose to paint the Sedin twins, Daniel & Henrik, with a sort of “reversed/playing card” composition to the illustration. Instead of a number/suit, I put the 3 crowns of the Swedish national team instead. I also experimented with blue linework, instead of black. I’m super pleased with the results!!!
