….when you walk in the arena and look around and see your team’s colors covering every inch? When you get goosebumps and you absolutely know it’s not from how cold it is, but the passion of everybody around you? When you’re saying the national anthem proudly, hand on the heart, but your heart in the game? When your team scores a goal and everybody is chanting in sync? When your team loses the game…yet you still feel proud? When they win…and you feel like you’re on top of the world? When you connect with every single person in the room and feel one with them? When the celebration won’t stop, even when you get home?
I said this on FB, but wanted to reiterate here, that just because “nothing happened” within your 10 foot radius when Irene passed through doesn’t mean it was a harmless rainstorm. Several people DIED, many more were flooded out of their homes, and many can’t get home tonight because the flooding and fallen trees. Including me.
It wasn’t “nothing.”
