Thank you to everyone who made this Caps season great.
First, thanks Mom, for being my main partner in crime. For going with me to all the games when I’m home, and for continuing to be there even when I’m 400 miles away. Thanks for putting up with all the times I call you sobbing hysterically over bad games or stupid penalties. Thanks for making sure that even while I’m stuck in a studio, I can still be home with 18,277 of my closest pals. I keep the wallpaper on my phone as a screen-shot of us from that Game 7 where Feds scored that GWG for a damn good reason.
To my lovely fellow 104-ites: Catherine, Carol, Hal, Pierre, Anne, Alexandra, Shep (technically, you don’t sit in 104, but you’re honorary), Gary, Erin, and those whose names I’ve missed, thanks for being some of the best people to sit around. I’m sorry I can’t be there more often. Keep making our section the best around!!!
And to all those folks around Verizon Center I’ve befriended (too many to name): You all rock. I’m so glad to have become friends with you.
Thanks to every Caps/hockey fans on Twitter, Tumblr, Deviantart, Facebook, etc. that I’ve connected with over the season.
To everyone at RMNB: Ian, Peter, Neil, Chris, Fedor, Kyle, and every single person who’s read, commented, or even just glanced at the blog: Never in a million years would I have imagined getting an opportunity like this, and I’m so thankful I took it. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you all. I hope to keep producing awesome work for the blog in the off season and seasons to come. I’m so thankful to have met you guys.
And to everyone: Don’t be strangers. I’ll be home ‘till the end of August. I want to see your beautiful faces before October.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Keep that red rocking all summer long. I know I will. (I gotta start workin’ on next year’s signs, y’know?) To quote a tweet I saw tonight: “History wasn’t made this season for the Caps, but friends were.” It’s been an absolute pleasure cheering the boys in Red on with you all. :]
So due to travel times, I usually end up w/ a few hours to kill before my internship. There’s a Borders right down the street, so I end up spending those few hours reading, mostly graphic novels/comics.
Recommendations anyone (Novel-novels too, I need more books in my life)?
