En route to #mnsshp! “Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!!” #donaldduck #cosplay
Finished ALL 4 Halloween costumes for our family vacation to Disney World, just in the nick of time!
We’re going to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party on the 16th. We’ve never been to MNSSHP before!!!
Russell is for my boyfriend Daniel, the shirt shorts, & hat were bought, and I made his sash, neckerchief, and all the buttons & patches!
Donald (as posted before) is my costume! it’s made totally from scratch.
Goofy is for my dad! I made the hat & vest from scratch, and the shirt & gloves are store-bought.
And finally, Cruella de Vil is for my mom! The dress & gloves and bought, and I styled the wig & made the fur wrap (you can’t see in this picture, but the lining is the wrap is 101 Dalmatians fabric!!) I originally made a big fur coat, but then we realized: Florida. So I made a wrap from the leftover fabric. (Much cooler & easier to pack!!)
I’m SO EXCITED FOR OUR TRIP. Only a few more days!!!!!
Needed a change in hairdo & the ability to wear a hat on cold days. So I got my ‘hawk cut off.
I like my hair like this, too! It’ll be nice not having to put tons of gel in it every day.
WHO’S READY FOR HOCKEY SEASON?
((I AM. IT’S ME.))
LET’S DO THIS.
yes i did quote kiryuin satsuki IDGAF
After my thumb is healed I’m gonna do the thing I’ve missed most since it started bugging me & I had to wear a splint
I’M GOING BOWLING.
This past Otakon on Saturday, I cosplayed as the Dual Destinies version of Apollo Justice.
The cosplay itself are the same vest, tie & pants from my GS4 Apollo costume. The coat I made from scratch and is made of poplin & lined with a poly/cotton suiting. All the white details, cuffs, and the insignia patches on the sleeves are done in faux suede for contrast. Because of the rounded look in the artwork, I chose to use piping instead of bias tape on the edges. The insignia are also satin stitch appliquéd onto the sleeves. The epaulettes are faux suede with satin stitched appliqué, with a piece of craft foam in the center. The stars are rivets. I took a bit of artistic liberties and took black fabric paint to the bottom to give a “charred” look to the coat. For the “bandages” I used fusible webbing to attach strips of knit fabric to gloves. I’ll probably be re-making them, with better adhesive, and longer gloves!!! The eyepatch is a strip of the same fabric, since it held to my face very well!
I got to do a photoshoot that evening with the LOVELY Nancy M, and good GOSH that was one of the most fun shoots I’ve ever had. The hotel we worked at was gorgeous and the sunset and breeze outside were great and AAAAHHH I’m in love with these photos!
Cosplay made and worn by myself

(tbh The only reason why it’s taken me so long to make a write-up of this costume is because these photos left me SPEECHLESS with joy.)
Hockey is making me mad tonight, so I’m working on Egg Scout designs instead.
I’ve been trying to finalize this character design for almost a year now, and I’m still not happy with it (I can never get the beak placement or head shape to look how I want it). Which is super frustrating, since I have several ideas for mini comics in my brain!!
